What are your Spring/Summer opening hours?

Bar: Saturday 12-4pm (paninis available)

Pizza & Bar: Friday & Saturday 4-9pm | Sunday 12-3:30pm (paninis also available upon request)

Where can we park?

We have a large car park located on your right as you enter the main entrance to Cedar Valley. From there, The Dell is well signposted and just a short 200-metre walk up the hill along a mown path.

Is the Dell accessible to those with mobility issues?

For guests with limited mobility, we can offer parking closer to The Dell. Please email us in advance to request a space at the top of the hill, located to the right of The Dell along the hedgerow. When arriving, please follow the signs for “Parking for Deliveries and Staff.”

Please note that, due to the natural setting of The Dell, the ground is uneven and not suitable for wheelchair access. Unfortunately, we also do not currently have accessible toilet facilities. The toilets are located through the trees and can only be reached via several steps.

If you have any questions before your visit, please do get in touch and we will be happy to help where we can.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes but we ask that dogs remain on leads at all times (with the exception of our cocker spaniel ‘Albie’, who has special dispensation!).

Can I bring a picnic?

Sadly not – we’re a restaurant rather than a picnic site. That said, you’re very welcome to bring a picnic rug and enjoy your food from us out on the grass.

Can I roam around the fields and woodland that surround The Dell?

The Dell is located on a working farm, so we kindly ask that guests stay within the publicly accessible areas.

What is your menu?

Our menu is available here.

Do you cater for vegans?

Yes, we use sourdough bases which are vegan, and we have dairy-free cheese available for our pizzas.

Do you cater for gluten free diets?

Gluten-free pizza bases are available. However, our pizzas are cooked in wood-fired ovens where semolina flour is used, so we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. For this reason, our pizzas are not suitable for guests with coeliac disease.

If you have any questions about allergens or dietary requirements, please speak to a member of our team who will be happy to help.

Does your café also cater for vegan and gluten free diets?

Yes – we have a selection of treats in the café suitable for vegans, including our Oatopia flapjacks and chocolate cake. We also offer a gluten-free lemon drizzle cake. For drinks, oat milk is available as a non-dairy alternative.

If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please do speak to a member of our team and we’ll be happy to help.

Can I hire The Dell for a private event or wedding?

We occasionally offer The Dell for private hire and special gatherings, particularly outside of our peak opening hours. The tipi and wood-fired oven make a wonderful setting for celebrations, group events and seasonal gatherings — including autumn and winter parties.

If you’re interested in hosting something special at The Dell, please email us at info@thedellhampshire.co.uk and we’d be delighted to discuss the possibilities.

What happens to lost property?

If you think you may have left something behind, please email us at info@thedellhampshire.co.uk. From time to time we may also share posts about found items on our social media, so it’s worth keeping an eye there as well.

Do you serve non-alcoholic drinks?

Yes, we have a good selection of non-alcoholic beers and other soft drinks.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes we do, but not amex.

What happens if i arrive late to collect my pizza(s)?

We’ll do our best to keep your pizza warm in the hot cupboard for up to 15 minutes after your collection time. After that, we may need to remove it to make space for other pizzas.

What happens if I order my pizzas for the wrong date?

If you realise you’ve ordered for the wrong date, please email info@thedellhampshire.co.uk to request a refund. You will then need to place a new order online for the correct date.

If the mistake isn’t noticed and we prepare the pizzas but they are not collected, unfortunately we are unable to issue a refund. Please also note that we do not monitor emails during service hours.

Do you have a play area?

Yes – we have a large sandpit with spades, buckets and diggers, as well as a mud kitchen for little ones to get creative. There are also several cornhole games (where you throw beanbags into holes – great fun for adults too!), a football goal and plenty of open space for children to run around and enjoy themselves.

Please note that children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Do you have baby changing facilities and high chairs?

Yes, we do. Our baby changing facilities are located to the left of Boycie the Bus under a wooden shelter, and high chairs are available in the tipi.

Do you hold events?

Yes, we do. Please keep an eye on the events section of our website and our social media pages for the latest information.

Can I pre order food and drinks?

Yes – we highly recommend pre-ordering your pizzas on our website at least one week before your visit. You can also order food when you arrive at The Dell by scanning the QR code on your table, but we cannot guarantee availabilty. The bar and café remain open for orders in person.

Can we reserve a table?

The Dell operates primarily on a first come, first served basis.

For gatherings, we offer table reservations under our beautiful 12m x 18m sailcloth tent at £25 per table (each seating up to six guests). Reserving tables guarantees that your group will have tables available and be seated together – particularly important on busy days when tables cannot be guaranteed otherwise.

All reservations are within our covered, weatherproof tent, complete with festoon lighting, allowing your group to enjoy the relaxed, shared atmosphere of The Dell.

Table reservations are suitable for groups of up to 40 guests, with pizzas pre-ordered in advance.

For larger groups of 40 or more, we offer dedicated areas within the sailcloth tent – please see below or contact us for more information.

If you’d like to book, please email info@thedellhampshire.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help arrange it.

Can we hold a celebration at The Dell?

Yes, absolutely. The Dell is a wonderful setting for birthdays, family gatherings, work get-togethers and children’s parties.

All group bookings take place under our beautiful 12m x 18m sailcloth tent, complete with festoon lighting and a covered, weatherproof setting.

For children’s parties and smaller gatherings (up to 40 guests), you can reserve tables at £25 per table (each seating up to six guests). This guarantees your group has tables available and seated together, while still enjoying the relaxed, shared atmosphere of The Dell. Pizzas are pre-ordered in advance.

For larger celebrations of 40 guests or more, we host bookings within dedicated areas of the sailcloth tent:

  • Half sailcloth tent (40–50 guests) – from £360
  • Full sailcloth tent hire (40–100 guests) – from £700

These options provide your group with a more private and defined space within the tent for your celebration.

For more information or to check availability, please email info@thedellhampshire.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help.

Can I stay at The Dell?

The Dell is located on the same farm as Cedar Valley Glamping and Camping. You can find out more about the Cedar Valley campsites here, and the glamping accommodation here

Are you open on Bank Holiday Mondays?

Not usually, unless we state otherwise on our website or social media. For example, we will be open on Easter Monday, 6 April 2026.

Are there circumstances when you will need to close The Dell and refund customer pre-orders or tickets for events?

In the event of severe weather (for example wind speeds exceeding 50 mph or extreme storms), or other unforeseen circumstances that require us to close, we may need to cancel service for safety reasons. If this happens, customers will be notified by email and offered either an alternative date or a full refund.

Why is there a small processing fee on online orders?

When you place an order through our website, you may notice a small processing fee added at checkout.

This fee is applied by our online ordering provider, Flipdish, and is a standard service charge that supports the running and maintenance of the online ordering system. It applies to all online orders, regardless of how you choose to pay.

Ordering online also guarantees your pizzas are reserved and ready for you at your chosen time. As we can get very busy, we strongly recommend pre-ordering – orders placed in person are subject to availability and we may sell out during peak times.

We keep our menu prices as competitive as possible, so rather than increasing prices across the board, this fee helps cover the costs associated with offering a convenient and reliable pre-order service.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to get in touch.
